Sharaya Smith is an experienced library professional currently serving as the Manager of Public & User Services at Sacred Heart University since October 2018, where responsibilities include managing the Circulation department through hiring and training student workers. With a background in various roles at Bridgeport Public Library since 2011, including Library Assistant on the Research & Reference Team and Volunteer Services Coordinator, Sharaya has developed strong skills in community service and public engagement. Previous experience as a Community Organizer for Do Tank Bridgeport and a Green Team Summer Program Leader with Groundwork Bridgeport further showcases a commitment to community enhancement and education. Sharaya holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Business Administration from Kaplan University.
