Aasim Iqbal

Aasim Iqbal, CMRP, has extensive experience in maintenance and turnaround leadership within the chemical and oil industries. Currently serving as Turnaround Team Leader at Sadara Chemical Company since October 2014, Aasim oversees the Maintenance Turnaround department. Prior to this role, Aasim worked at Descon as Deputy Manager for Production-Fabrication, focusing on plant maintenance services and piping fabrication projects for ADNOC Group in Abu Dhabi from May 2007 to September 2014. Earlier experience includes a position as Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at Harouge Oil Operations in Libya, where responsibilities included the maintenance and repair of oil storage tanks and pipelines, along with project management duties. Aasim's career began at Attock Refinery Limited, where responsibilities as Officer Plant Maintenance involved supervising maintenance crews and coordinating efforts during plant shutdowns and turnarounds from May 1999 to July 2004.
