Feras Saeed

General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Sadara Chemical Company

Feras was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Sadara Chemical Company in October 2019. He served in an acting capacity as both General Counsel and Corporate Secretary prior to his formal appointment.

Feras began his legal career as a legal counsel at Saudi Aramco, advising on matters pertaining to several high-profile Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts, Corporate Governance and Dispute Resolution. Afterwards, Saeed joined the Office of Legal Advisors in association with Baker and McKenzie, where he focused on the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions, Initial Public Offerings, Foreign Investments, and Saudi litigation. In 2011, Saeed joined King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (KAUST) from 2011-2015 as a Senior Counsel. He was involved in setting up several Saudi innovative startups and was involved in KAUST’s endowment investment program.

Since joining Sadara in 2015 as a Senior Counsel, Feras held the following positions in the Legal Department: Corporate Secretary, Chief Compliance Officer, Associate General Counsel and Acting General Counsel.

Saeed was admitted to the New York State Bar after obtaining his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from The Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College in 2004. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in Electrical Engineering.
