There, they led a team of engineers in executing multiple projects for various customers in the automotive and agriculture industries, specializing in stress analysis, crash simulations, and NVH using analytical tools such as FEA.

From 2002 to 2007, Prasanna worked as a Principal Analyst at B/E Aerospace. Prasanna managed a group of CAD and CAE engineers and developed methodologies to simulate dynamic events, test, validate, and substantiate seat programs for the Business Jet Division, focusing on occupant protection, passenger safety, and structural integrity.

In 2007, Prasanna joined Cessna Aircraft Company as a Sr. Engineer Specialist. Prasanna was responsible for the development of aircraft seat systems and subsystems, from concept to final certification phases. Prasanna developed a methodology for DFEA, performed coupon/component level testing, and verified and validated models. Prasanna also established a stress team and provided training and prepared standard documents in support of CBA activities.

From 2010 to 2015, Prasanna served as an Adjunct Professor at Wichita State University. Prasanna worked as a project guide for Masters and PhD theses related to crashworthiness topics and offered lectures on Impact dynamics, Biomechanics, and Machine Design. Prasanna also reviewed journal and conference publications during this time.

In 2015, Prasanna joined Gulfstream Aerospace as a Principal Engineer in New Product Development (Cabin Experience). Their responsibilities include leading a team of engineers in executing multiple seat projects, addressing customer comfort issues, stress analysis/DFEA, and STC certification of new seats for the G650 and G500/G600 programs.

Throughout their career, Prasanna has demonstrated technical leadership, project management, and budgeting skills. Prasanna is particularly experienced in the fields of seat design and evaluation, analytical methods, comfort and ergonomics, product design and development, and certification. Prasanna has also contributed to the industry as the Lead for Analytical Methods for Aircraft Seat Design and Evaluation at SAE International, where they led a team of specialists in providing industry guidance on seat certification by analysis.

Prasanna Bhonge PhD holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Impact Dynamics from Wichita State University. Additionally, they have completed a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University. They have also pursued studies in Biomechanics and Injury Mechanics at Barry University, although the specific degree obtained in this field is not mentioned.
