Miguel Lasheras

Director of Operations Wind & PV at Saeta Yield

Miguel Lasheras has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Miguel started their career as a Becrio Departamento de Seguridad Nuclear at ENRESA SA in 2009, where they were involved in document management for the dismantlement of nuclear power plants.

In 2010, Miguel joined ACS Industrial as a Strategy and Corporate Business Development professional. In this role, they conducted investment analysis, due diligence for energy assets, and market evaluations. Miguel also developed business plans and negotiated agreements with potential customers and investors. Miguel was responsible for coordinating R&D initiatives within the company and representing the company in industry associations and regulatory bodies.

Later, Miguel worked at Grupo Cobra starting in 2013. Miguel initially served as a Project Manager for the HYSOL Project, a research and development project focused on integrating solar thermoelectric renewable generation with biogas/natural gas. Miguel managed a consortium with eight European partners and acted as the project representative before the European Commission. Miguel also played a key role in project coordination, budget management, and maintaining the project website.

In 2016, Miguel became the Deputy Project Manager and later the Project Control Manager at Grupo Cobra. Miguel was involved in project management and control for various initiatives during their tenure.

Most recently, in 2016, Miguel joined Saeta Yield as the M&A - Technical Acquisition Manager, where they were responsible for the technical aspects of acquisitions. Miguel then transitioned to the role of Head of Solar PV, overseeing the company's solar photovoltaic projects. Currently, Miguel holds the position of Director of Operations Wind & PV at Saeta Yield.

Throughout their career, Miguel has demonstrated expertise in operations management, project coordination, business development, and renewable energy projects.

Miguel Lasheras earned their first degree, a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering with a focus on Energy Techniques, from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid between 2001 and 2008. Following this, they pursued further education at Arts et Métiers ParisTech - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers. Miguel obtained another degree in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Energy, during the academic year 2008-2009.
