Matt Schwartz has a diverse range of work experience in engineering roles. Matt started their career as a Mechanical Engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding. From there, they moved on to Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems where they worked as a Design Engineer and then an Engineering Supervisor. In 2015, they joined SAF-HOLLAND Inc. as a Sr. Design Engineer before eventually becoming the Manager of Global CAE & Structural Durability. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Engineering at SAF-HOLLAND Inc.
Matt Schwartz earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University from 2004 to 2008. Matt later pursued an Academic Certificate in Mechatronics Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications in various areas such as coaching and developing employees, giving and receiving feedback, managing employee performance problems, setting team and employee goals using SMART methodology, building accountability into culture, and getting things done, all from LinkedIn in 2020.
