Jerry Jiao

Jerry Jiao has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and technology consulting. Jerry started their career as a Director General at Vancouver Model United Nations in 2017, followed by being a Debate and Speech Coach at British Columbia Forensic League. In 2019, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Frontline Financial Services (Quantitative Hedge Fund). Later that year, they joined Berkeley SkyDeck as a Technology Consultant, where they built various tools to aid in the investments and operations of the accelerator startups. In 2020, Jerry worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Brightflow AI, where they built the user onboarding flow for a cashflow forecasting web application. In 2021, they interned at Adobe as a Full Stack Software Engineer, and in 2022, they joined Scale AI as a Software Engineer. At Scale AI, they contributed to building and launching several tools, including a 3D data quality management tool and an internal A/B testing tool, among others. Currently, Jerry is working as a Software Engineer at Safara.

Jerry Jiao is an individual with a comprehensive education history. From 2014 to 2018, they attended Fraser Heights Secondary School, where they obtained a Dogwood Diploma with a 4.0 GPA (unweighted) and achieved a score of 1570 on the SAT. In 2018, they further pursued their academic journey at the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, which was completed in 2022. In addition to their degrees, Jerry has also obtained certifications, including the DELF B2 from the Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française (DELF) in June 2018 and the Associate Diploma (ARCT) in Piano Performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music in June 2014.
