Joan Ndung'u, CIA®, is a seasoned professional in the field of internal auditing and risk management, currently serving as Manager of Internal Audit at Safaricom PLC since March 2022. Previously, Joan held roles as a Global Risk and Compliance Consultant at d.light and as a Senior Internal Auditor at KPMG East Africa, where work involved both internal auditing and risk compliance services. Initial career experience includes serving as a Financial Accountant at Pyramid Consultants and completing an internship as an Actuarial Intern at Jubilee Life Insurance Company Ltd. Joan's academic qualifications include an MSc in Professional Accountancy from the University of London, ACCA from KCA University, and a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science with IT from Maseno University. Additional educational credentials include training from the Institute of Internal Auditors and foundational studies at Precious Blood Secondary School.
