Tony Nyaga

Tony Nyaga is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in machine learning and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Safaricom PLC since May 2018, Tony specializes in scaling machine learning systems and pipelines to enhance customer experience. Previous roles include being an Artificial Intelligence Specialist at Bitsoko Services, where efforts focused on developing a Smart Inventory Management System using deep learning and blockchain technology, and a Software Developer at Deep Alpha Capital, where Tony contributed to the creation of a finance REST API and implemented CI/CD processes. Earlier experience also includes work as a Software Developer/Data Analyst at Fiverr, developing automated systems and core banking APIs, and a brief stint as a Clerk for the IEBC during the 2013 General Elections. Tony holds a Machine Learning Certification from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Eldoret.
