Craig DeGarmo, MBA, MHA

Craig DeGarmo, MBA, MHA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Craig is currently working as a System Administrative Officer for Acute, Critical Care & Trauma ICCE at MUSC Health since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as a Healthcare Advisor-Go To Market at SAFE 2 SAVE starting from September 2020. Craig also worked as an Advisory Board member at JabFab Inc. from May 2019.

Before that, they held various leadership roles at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, including Vice Chair of Administration in the Department of Medicine from January 2023 to March 2023. Additionally, they have served as Vice President, Operations, Central Region at RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group & Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where they were responsible for ambulatory practices in the New Brunswick and Somerset markets.

In previous roles, they have worked as the Vice President of the Penn State Health Medical Group-Academic Practice Division from May 2019 to July 2021. Craig DeGarmo has also held leadership positions at Baylor College of Medicine, where they served as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Department of Medicine from April 2017 to May 2019.

Their work experience also includes serving as President, President-Elect, and Past President of the Administrators of Internal Medicine Division of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine from July 2016 to June 2019. Previously, they were a Council Member for the same organization from July 2013 to June 2016.

In addition to their healthcare roles, Craig DeGarmo has also contributed as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Nursing & Health Studies at Georgetown University, teaching Strategic Management from April 2016 to April 2017.

Craig DeGarmo, MBA, MHA completed their education in a chronological manner. Craig first attended The George Washington University from 2002 to 2003, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Advanced Laboratory Technician. Following this, they enrolled at Colorado Technical University and from 2006 to 2008 earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Continuing their education at the same institution, they pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration from 2007 to 2008, concentrating on Business Management. Finally, in 2008 to 2009, Craig DeGarmo obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Health Care Management from Colorado Technical University.
