Dave Anderson

David Anderson is a dedicated professional in child welfare, serving as the Founder of Safe Families for Children since April 2003 and as the Executive Director of Lydia Home since April 1993. With a strong background in psychology, David served as a Psychologist and Child Welfare Evaluator for Northwestern University and Cook County Juvenile Court from June 2000 to January 2004 and held a position as a Research Associate at Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago from March 1998 to June 2000. David's earlier roles include Assistant Director at Lydia Home Association, Psychologist and Forensic Evaluator at Lutheran General Hospital, and Program Director for the Adolescent Psychiatric Unit at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. David earned a Doctorate of Psychology from The Chicago School between 1988 and 1992, following undergraduate studies at Northern Illinois University from 1978 to 1982.
