Omar Abaalkhail

Omar Abaalkhail is a seasoned professional in risk consulting and corporate governance, currently serving as a Partner in Risk Consulting at EY since November 2021. Omar holds multiple board positions, including Chairman of the Audit Committee at Sela | صلة and Member of the Audit Committee at SAFE I سيف. Previous roles include Member of the Professional Ethics Committee at SOCPA and several audit committee positions at organizations such as Elm Company and GDC Middle East. Omar's experience in corporate governance includes serving as VP of Portfolio Corporate Governance at the Public Investment Fund (PIF). An alumnus of Bangor University with a Master’s degree in Finance, as well as holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from King Saud University, Omar’s career spans banking supervision at the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority, where responsibilities included on-site inspections.
