Supervising Attorney at Safe Passage Project

Razia Hamid is a legal professional currently serving as a Supervising Attorney at Safe Passage Project since October 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Supervising Attorney and Staff Attorney for the Detained Minors Project at The Door - A Center of Alternatives, as well as a Robert L. Bernstein Fellow in International Human Rights at Human Rights in China. Razia's earlier experiences include positions as a Global Refugee Rights Intern at Asylum Access, an intern at the ACLU’s Immigrants' Rights Project, and an intern with the International Organization for Migration in the Migrant Assistance Division. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Studies and Anthropology from The Johns Hopkins University, complemented by a General Course in Economic Anthropology and Sociology from The London School of Economics and Political Science. Razia completed secondary education at Sidwell Friends School.
