Safe Passages
Maura Barry, MSW, currently serves as a Program Coordinator at Safe Passages since April 2022. Previously, Maura worked as a Social Work Intern with the Prevention Team at PATH to Care Center, University of California, Berkeley from July 2020 to October 2021. Additionally, Maura has experience in Supported Living Services (SLS) with Thrive Support Services from August 2013 to October 2021 and was a Transfer Coordinator for Berkeley Underground Scholars from August 2018 to August 2019. Maura holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) Candidate degree, focusing on Strengthening Organizations and Communities, from the University of California, Berkeley (2019-2021), and an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Berkeley City College (2015-2017).

Safe Passages 501(c)(3) is an inter-governmental partnership including the City of Oakland, the County of Alameda, the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), philanthropy and community-based partners that is committed to advocating for children, youth, and families with a special emphasis on vulnerable populations within the County of Alameda.
