Safe Passages
Vanesa Guillen has significant experience in educational roles, currently serving as an Enrichment Instructor at Safe Passages since September 2020. Prior to this position, Vanesa worked as a Mentor at Bridge from January 2020 to September 2020, focusing on academic mentoring and tutoring for children in grades K-6. Vanesa's earlier experience includes serving as a Peer Mentor at Ohlone College from June 2017 to August 2018. Academically, Vanesa has obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Chicanx Studies from the University of California, Davis (2018-2020), as well as an Associate's degree and an Associate's degree in Human Development from Ohlone College (2015-2018). Educational background also includes a high school diploma from James Logan High School (2011-2015).

Safe Passages 501(c)(3) is an inter-governmental partnership including the City of Oakland, the County of Alameda, the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), philanthropy and community-based partners that is committed to advocating for children, youth, and families with a special emphasis on vulnerable populations within the County of Alameda.
