Catherine Guerrero

Catherine Guerrero currently serves as the Deputy Director at Safe States Alliance since March 2025. Previously, Guerrero managed the Vaccine Equity Unit at NC DHHS from June 2024 to February 2025. Prior experience includes serving as the Vaccine Program Manager and Health Equity Lead at the CDC Foundation from November 2021 to May 2024. Guerrero held the position of Principal at Health Management Associates from March 2019 to October 2021, and worked at the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence from June 2012 to February 2019 as Associate Director and Chief Strategy Officer. Earlier roles include coordinating the Sexual Assault Prevention Program at the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and managing programs at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Guerrero holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and various degrees and certifications in Women's Studies and International Relations from other educational institutions.
