Paul Ruiz is a public policy professional with nearly a decade of experience in energy, technology, innovation, and transportation safety. Paul served as the staff lead for the trucking industry’s automated truck and technology committees and has led analyses of electric and automated vehicle technologies for an advocacy organization. Currently, Paul works with the enforcement community to develop the first-ever automated truck inspection standards while chairing an NTSB distracted driving subcommittee. Paul earned a graduate degree from the University of Delaware’s Biden School of Policy and is an elected member of the 8th Congressional District Democratic Committee representing Arlington County, VA. As the son of commercial motor vehicle drivers, Paul is the first in their family to attend college.
