Elaine Litster

Elaine Litster has a long and varied work experience, beginning with their role as an Admissions Counselor at Boise State University in 1986. Elaine then moved to Southern California, where they freelanced as a Harpist and performed with various orchestras from 1990-1997. In 1998, they became the Director of Harp Extravaganza, LA-AHS and President of the American Harp Society-Los Angeles. From 2001-2007, they were a Music Teacher at Centers of Learning, a private school. In 2003, they were elected to the Board of Directors of the American Harp Society, and in 2008 they were elected to the Board of Directors of the American Harp Society Foundation. In 2007, they became the Choir Accompanist at Royal High School, and in 2010 they were elected as President of the PTA at Justin Elementary School. In 1997, they co-founded SAFEChecks, which manufactures and imprints high security checks for corporations and individuals with clients throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Elaine Litster began their education journey at Brigham Young University - Idaho, where they earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Interpersonal Communications from 1981 to 1983. Elaine then moved on to Brigham Young University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Economics from 1984 to 1986. After that, they attended Boise State University from 1985 to 1986, where they studied Economics. Finally, they earned their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Urban Planning from the University of California, Los Angeles from 1988 to 1990.
