Shai Kavas

Shai Kavas has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Most recently, they are the CEO and co-founder of SAFEMIND Cybersecurity, where they focus on putting the human factor at the heart of cybersecurity. Shai is also a member of the Board of Advisors for CyberGames Technologies, a software development company that provides cybersecurity training through gaming.

In the past, Shai served as a board member and investor for Intelici, a board member and investor for InsureU, and a board member and investor for SecureU. Shai was also a board member and investor for AHA!, a company focused on cybersecurity inference.

Shai co-founded CyberGuild, an early-stage cybersecurity venture capital fund and venture building "studio." Shai aimed to redefine the cybersecurity ecosystem and make a positive impact on society. Additionally, Shai served as a board member and investor for SecureU, a company that developed a data leak prevention solution.

Earlier in their career, Shai worked at Intel Corporation where they held various positions. Shai founded Intel Israel Cybersecurity COE and led innovative initiatives to differentiate Intel Platforms in terms of chip-to-cloud security and compliance with industry standards. Shai also served as the COO of the Business Client Security Innovations division and the Architecture Manager for Intel Israel's Central Innovation Agency. Shai's roles at Intel also included being the Chief of Staff and Technical Assistant to the Vice President and GM, an R&D Engineering Manager, a Group Leader and Manager of the Israel IT Innovation Center, a Global Program Manager for the FSM Division, a Group Leader for Fab8 Automation IT, and a Software Engineer for Fab8 Automation IT.

Prior to their time at Intel, Shai worked as a Team Leader for Fiber Optic Modems at RAD Data Communications.

Overall, Shai Kavas has a wealth of experience in cybersecurity, venture capital, and technology innovation.

Shai Kavas has a diverse education history. In 1995-1998, they attended The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and earned a BSC degree in Mathematics. They furthered their studies in 2017, acquiring a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)²: The World's Leading Cybersecurity and IT Security Professional Organization. In addition, in 1994, Shai obtained a teaching certificate in Electronics from MATACH - Technology Training Center, Tel-Aviv. Prior to that, in 1990-1991, they attended ORT Colleges and received a degree in Practical Engineering with a specialization in Electronics.
