Gerret Halberstadt

Gerret Halberstadt serves as Geschäftsführer at saferspaces since April 2021, focusing on the further development of the application and securing long-term funding for the startup. As a Co-Founder, Gerret played a key role in connecting individuals who experience or witness assaults or discrimination with those providing on-site assistance, supervising the application development from the initial idea to early prototypes. Prior experience includes working as a Software Developer at simpleclub, contributing to the popular Ed-Tech app by enhancing existing APIs and functionalities, and holding the position of Senior Software Developer at weluse GmbH, where Gerret worked in interdisciplinary teams on full-stack developments. Academic background includes a Master's degree and an ongoing Ph.D. in Quantitative Economics from Kiel University.
