Laura Bell Main

Laura Bell Main has been in the technology industry since 2007. Laura began their career as an Information Security Consultant and Technical Integration Lead for a Large Government Organisation. In 2011, they joined KPMG New Zealand as an Assistant Manager in Information Security Risk Advisory. That same year, they also became Director of In2securITy Limited, a not-for-profit organisation aiming to develop a new generation of IT security professionals for New Zealand. In 2012, they moved to Lateral Security as a Technical Team Lead and Information Security Consultant in Auckland. From 2014 to 2020, they held various positions including CEO and Founder of SafeStack, Vice Chair of the New Zealand Internet Task Force (NZITF), Application Security Specialist for Spendvision, and Board Member of Hackers Helping Hackers. In 2020, they became an Investor and Advisor for Onwardly and in 2021, they began working as a Lecturer in Application Security for the Developers Institute.

Laura Bell Main obtained their BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from Aberystwyth University from 2003 to 2007. Laura then went on to receive various certifications, including 2022 Global Tech from SBE Australia in August 2022, Certified Security Testing Associate (CSTA) and Certified Security Testing Practitioner (CSTP) from 7Safe in March 2011, Certified Information Security Manager\u00ae (CISM) from ISACA in August 2014, and Certified Information Systems Auditor\u00ae (CISA) from ISACA in April 2012.
