Justin Shangguan

Justin Shangguan has a diverse work experience in various industries. Justin started their career in 2013 as an Emergency Room Volunteer/Staffer at Washington Hospital Healthcare System, where they provided assistance to patients and directed visitors towards the Intensive Care or Critical Care units. In 2014 and 2015, they worked as a Researcher at Tufts University, conducting research on undisclosed projects.

In 2015, Justin gained experience in the dental field as a Shadow/Intern at Mountain View Pediatric Dentistry, where they observed dental practices and assisted with tasks such as tooth sealants, tooth fillings, and wisdom tooth removal. Justin also helped organize patient records and gained exposure to x-ray photography.

In 2016, Justin took on a role as a co-author of a research paper on marine compounds and their antiviral activities, which they wrote while at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. The paper highlights the bioactive compounds found in marine organisms/microorganisms that possess antiviral properties.

In 2017, Justin shadowed professionals at Massachusetts General Hospital, receiving exposure to the healthcare industry. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Behavior Technician at East Bay ABA, providing services and support to individuals with behavioral disorders.

Most recently, in 2022, Justin joined Safetrust Inc. as a Support Engineer, contributing their technical expertise to assist customers with their needs.

Throughout their career, Justin has demonstrated a dedication to learning and gaining diverse experiences in various fields.

Justin Shangguan pursued a Master's degree in Data Science from Northwestern University, which they completed from 2020 to 2022. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biopsychology from Tufts University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018.
