Fartash Vasefi

Fartash Vasefi is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the fields of biomedical engineering and digital health. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at SafetySpect, Inc. since May 2019, Fartash oversees the development of proprietary spectral analysis devices that utilize machine learning algorithms for real-time food safety assessments. Previously, Fartash held the position of VP of Research and Development at Spectral Molecular Imaging, Inc. and co-founded eTreatMD, where Fartash contributed to creating mobile applications for managing chronic diseases. Fartash began the professional journey at Cedars-Sinai as a Project Scientist and earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Biophotonics from Simon Fraser University.
