Chad Hilliard

Chad Hilliard has worked in various roles since 2000. In 2000, they worked as a Production Assistant at Cloudwalker LLC, where they assisted with product testing and quality control of technical climbing and ski clothing designed by Jeff Lowe. Chad also worked on the booth for Cloudwalker LLC at the Outdoor Retail Show in Salt Lake City, Utah and assisted in coordination for the premier Ouray Ice Climbing Festival in Ouray, Colorado. In 2001, they worked as a Sales Representative for Excalibur, DMM, INC, where they were an independent sales rep for DMM and Wild Country climbing equipment companies and provided sales and instruction in the Southeast region. From 2003 to 2012, they worked at Tribuzio-Hilliard Studio as a Project Manager and Media Technician and Sales. As a Media Technician and Sales, they were a Photoshop technician for photo and print media and developed and maintained internal server networks. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at Construction Technology Services as a Project Manager, where they were responsible for maintenance and renovations on commercial properties, including roofing, HVAC, interior renovations, and exterior renovations. Chad Hilliard is currently working as a Testing Director at Safewaze since 2022.

Chad Hilliard attended Appalachian State University from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a B.S. in Geography. Chad then returned to Appalachian State University from 2001 to 2003, where they earned an M.A. in Educational Media. Prior to that, Chad attended Colorado Mountain College from 1992 to 1994 and earned an Associates in Outdoor Education. In addition, Chad obtained an Avalanche Science Level 1 certification from the National Ski Patrol in March 2000 and is an Outdoor Climbing Instructor (TRCI, TMCI, SPCI) certified by PCIAPCIA (Professional Climbing Instructors Association).
