Caroline O'Connor has a diverse range of work experience. Caroline started their career as an Organizer for the Texas State Employees Union/Communications Workers of America, where they represented and advocated for the organization in political and legislative matters. Caroline then became the Legislative and Political Director, successfully shepherding numerous bills through the legislative process and leading efforts to defeat privatization initiatives.

Caroline went on to work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Instructor at the University of Texas at Austin, where they gained experience in education. Caroline later served as the Communications Director for The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO, where they developed and implemented communications and public relations strategies for the organization.

Caroline's career also includes roles at Los Angeles Trade Technical College as an Adjunct Faculty and at SAG-AFTRA Foundation as the Director of Communications. In their position at SAG-AFTRA Foundation, they managed all internal and external communications and marketing, including major fundraising campaigns and producing an Emmy-nominated children's literacy program.
