Yessica Cancel

Yessica Cancel has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several years. Yessica most recently served as the President of Saga Education starting in November 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Chief People Officer at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution from October 2022 to November 2023. Yessica also held various positions at PACE Center for Girls, including Chief Operations Officer from April 2017 to October 2022, and Chief Organizational Development Officer from October 2011 to September 2022. Before their time at PACE Center for Girls, they worked as the Vice President of Organizational Development at Sea Star Line from December 2005 to September 2011. Yessica started their career as an HR Manager at Itel Inc from July 2003 to December 2005. Yessica also worked as an HR Consultant at Johns & Associates from 2001 to 2003.

Yessica Cancel holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from the University of North Florida - College of Business Administration, which they obtained from 1998 to 2001. Yessica also holds a Bachelor's degree in Multilingual/Multicultural Education, French, and Spanish from Florida State University, which they obtained from 1991 to 1995. In addition, Yessica has certifications including a CCP certification from WorldatWork obtained in 2017 and an SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM.
