Andrew Poreda has a diverse work experience spanning across the finance and military sectors. Andrew currently holds the role of VP, Senior Research Analyst at Sage Advisory since August 2021, where they lead efforts to integrate ESG assessment into credit analysis and portfolio construction. Prior to this, they served as a Research Analyst in the same company from April 2019 to August 2021.
In the military sector, Andrew served in the US Navy from 2006 onwards. Andrew held various roles, including Officer-US Navy Reserve since August 2019, Department Head for HSM-78 (MH-60R helicopter squadron) from October 2016 to July 2019, Quality Assurance Officer for HSM-79 from May 2015 to October 2016, Instructor Pilot from July 2012 to April 2015, Helicopter Pilot in the MH-60R assigned to HSM-77 from June 2008 to June 2012, and Student Naval Aviator from August 2006 to June 2008. During their time in the Navy, they participated in multiple Western Pacific and Middle East deployments as part of carrier strike groups and carrier air wings.
Andrew Poreda earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Rice University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued higher education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from the Naval Postgraduate School. Andrew attended the Naval Postgraduate School from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Andrew Poreda has obtained several certifications, including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute, which they achieved in March 2022. Andrew also holds a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute, obtained in February 2022, and an FSA Credential from SASB Standards, earned in January 2020.
