Khai Do

Khai Do has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Starting in 1996 at Texas Instruments, Khai worked as a Software Developer, writing code for a test harness and interfacing with test equipment. This experience led to a role at BSquare Corporation in 1998, where they became a Software QA Lead. In this position, Khai delivered high-quality software and automated testing processes.

In 2003, Khai joined Infospace as a Software Developer in Test, where they developed utilities, automated tests, and integrated testing tools. In 2004, they became a Software QA Manager at Teranode, managing testing across the organization and implementing quality processes.

From 2010 to 2012, Khai worked at Impinj as a Software Test Manager, overseeing software quality for reader products and implementing test frameworks. At Hewlett-Packard from 2013 to 2017, Khai served as a DevOps Engineer, focusing on scaling the continuous integration infrastructure for the Openstack project.

In 2016, Khai took on multiple roles simultaneously. Khai became an Openstack Gerrit Maintainer and a Gerrit Consultant at GerritForge Ltd. In these roles, they provided expertise in code review workflows and system integration.

Currently, Khai works at Sage Bionetworks as a Principal Infrastructure Engineer. Their responsibilities include architecting and managing the company's IT infrastructure, specifically on the AWS cloud, to ensure compliance, security, scalability, and fault tolerance. Khai also supports scientists and engineers by providing them with self-service resources.

Khai Do attended the University of Washington from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, Khai became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in January 2021 through Amazon Web Services (AWS). Khai received the Jenkins Engineer certification from the Jenkins project in September 2016. Additionally, Khai completed a Certificate in Software Test Automation at the University of Washington in 2007. Finally, they are working towards obtaining the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which is expected to be obtained in November 2022.
