Milen Nikolov

Milen Nikolov's work experience is as follows:

- Milen worked at Sage Bionetworks as an Associate Director of Data Reliability starting in April 2022. Before this role, they held positions as the Principal Scientist, Lead Engineer, Senior Scientist, Lead Engineer, Senior Scientist, and Research Scientist at the same company, starting in July 2018 and ending in January 2022.

- Prior to their time at Sage Bionetworks, Milen worked at the Institute for Disease Modeling as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist from February 2015 to June 2018. In this role, they optimized national-scale malaria elimination interventions and presented recommendations to ministries of health and stakeholders at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

- Milen also worked at Cornell University as a Graduate Research Assistant from August 2009 to January 2015. During this time, they designed and implemented algorithms to maximize energy efficiency in wireless networks and presented and published their results in top-tier international conference proceedings and journals.

Milen Nikolov obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from SUNY Brockport in the years 2005 to 2009. Milen then pursued further education at Cornell University, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2009 to 2014. Milen Nikolov continued their studies at Cornell University and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2009 to 2015.
