Ileana Rodriguez

Ileana Rodriguez has extensive experience in contracts management and legal affairs. Ileana most recently worked at Sage Therapeutics, starting in 2016. In their role as Associate Director, Contracts Excellence, they are responsible for managing contracts and ensuring their compliance. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Contracts Manager at Sage Therapeutics and was involved in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of contracts. Ileana also implemented a new contract management tool and updated contract templates.

Before joining Sage Therapeutics, Ileana worked at Aegerion Pharmaceuticals as a Contracts Manager. Ileana was responsible for managing contracts during their time there.

Earlier in their career, Ileana worked at Sodexo as a Senior Contracts Administrator. In addition to managing commercial subcontracts, they acted as a liaison between the company and subcontractors. Ileana also trained newly hired Contracts Administrators and General Managers of various business units. Additionally, they served as the Chair of the New England Chapter of the Sodexo Latino Organization.

Prior to Sodexo, Ileana worked as an Independent Legal Counsel, advising clients on legal issues related to Latin America. Ileana also drafted and reviewed contracts and followed up on legislation impacting businesses in Latin America.

Before becoming an Independent Legal Counsel, Ileana held various roles in the legal field. Ileana was the Manager of Legal Affairs at Roche, where they structured the Legal Department and provided legal advice and support to all divisions of the company. Ileana also worked as a Legal Counsel at Sincor and as a Lawyer in the International Tax Services department at Deloitte and Arthur Andersen. In these roles, they were involved in drafting legal opinions, tax planning, and corporate legal matters.

Ileana Rodriguez obtained a Bachelor's degree in Law from UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello between 1989 and 1994. Ileana then pursued a Master's degree in International Legal Studies, specializing in International Business Law, at the American University Washington College of Law from 1996 to 1997. In 1999 to 2001, they attended the Universidad Metropolitana, where they completed an Advanced Program on Tax Management (PAAGT). Later, in 2009 to 2010, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Biopharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs from Northeastern University.
