Kerisa Shelton, PhD has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and research fields. Kerisa is currently a Sr. Manager of Clinical Operations and Development at Sage Therapeutics, where they oversee various clinical operations and development projects. Previously, they worked as a Senior Project Manager at ICON plc from 2020 to 2022, leading a phase III global trial in the rare disease CNS space. Before that, they served as a Project Manager II at Syneos Health Clinical Solutions, managing Phase III studies in the CNS space and ensuring on-time and in-budget delivery of contracted services. In addition, they have experience as a Clinical Research Project Manager at Barrow Neurological Institute, where they managed rare disease research projects in neurology and neurosurgery. Prior to that, they worked as a Graduate Researcher at UC Santa Barbara, investigating the role of certain receptors in the lateral habenula related to the anxiogenic effects of psychostimulants. Kerisa also served as a Teaching Assistant during their time at UC Santa Barbara. Kerisa Shelton, PhD, obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Neuroscience and Behavior from UC Santa Barbara between the years 2011 and 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology at Northern Arizona University from 2008 to 2011.
