Mark Frederick

Mark Frederick has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance. Mark started their career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where they worked as a Manager in the Technology Business Assurance Practice, primarily serving clients in the life sciences and manufacturing sectors. Mark then transitioned to working as a Consultant at Mark F. Consulting, where they undertook various project-based assignments for clients such as Genzyme.

Following this, Mark held positions at Genzyme, starting as a Finance Manager for the Orthopedics Business Unit. Mark was responsible for budgeting, forecasting, divisional accounting closes, sales reporting, and SEC reporting. Mark also played a key role in a significant business acquisition. After their tenure at Genzyme, Mark joined Evergreen Solar as a Manager of Operations Finance, overseeing the financial aspects of a large manufacturing plant and leading the start-up of a new plant in Michigan.

Next, Mark worked at Valeritas as a Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. In this role, they were involved in financial management and presentations, including preparing key financial slides for the Board of Directors. Mark then joined Sage Therapeutics, initially as an Accounting and Reporting Manager before being promoted to Associate Director of Accounting and ultimately Director of Accounting. At Sage Therapeutics, Mark worked on a range of financial projects, including year-end audits, an S-1 filing, and operational accounting.

Throughout their career, Mark has demonstrated strong financial expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex financial processes.

Mark Frederick attended The Wharton School from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance.
