Rob Potts

Rob Potts has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. Rob currently works at Sage Therapeutics as an Associate Director Cybersecurity and previously held the position of Senior Manager, Cybersecurity at the same company. Prior to joining Sage Therapeutics, Rob worked at Deloitte as a Solution Manager II. Rob also worked at Micro Focus (formerly HP / Hewlett Packard Enterprise) as a Solution Delivery Manager. Before that, Rob held the role of Senior Security Engineer at Terra Verde Services and worked as an Information Technology Consultant while being self-employed. Rob gained experience as a Project Manager and Senior Software Engineer at SAIC and as a Senior Software Engineer and DBA at Peerless Technology Corporation. Earlier in their career, Rob was a Principal Software Engineer at General Dynamics AIS and a Senior LIMS Consultant at RTS Enabling Technology. Rob started their career as a Senior LIMS Engineer at Decision Systems Technologies Inc. (now known as STG, Inc.).

Rob Potts received their Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Management Information Systems from Wright State University, which was completed between 1988 and 1993. Rob also briefly studied Journalism at Ohio University in 1987. In 2004, they attended Central Michigan University, although the degree they pursued and their field of study are unknown.

Rob continued their education by pursuing a Master of Science degree in Information Security and Assurance, with a specialization in International Cyber Law, at Norwich University from 2016 to 2018.

Rob Potts has also obtained several certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in January 2013, GIAC - GSEC from the SANS Institute in April 2011, GIAC - GWAPT from the SANS Institute in October 2010, Apple Certified Support Professional 10.6 from Apple in July 2010, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in October 2019.
