Chris Apfel is the founder, CEO, and Chairman of SageMedic. Chris has over fifteen years of experience in the medical field, including working as an Associate Adjunct Professor at UCSF and as the Director of Faculty Recruiting at the University of Louisville. In 2014, they founded SageMedic, Inc., which later became SageMedic Corp. in 2017. Under their leadership, SageMedic has become the leading cancer diagnostic company.

Chris Apfel has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from The Wharton School, an MD in Critical Care Medicine from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, an MD in Anesthesiology from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, and a PhD in Medical Sciences / Epidemiology from Justus Liebig University Giessen.
