Ron Hartmann

Vice President, Pharmacy Solutions at Sagent Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Ron Hartmann has an extensive work experience spanning several decades. Ron began their career as a Clinical Pharmacy Resident in General Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy & Science in 1982. Ron then went on to work at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center, where they held various positions including Assistant Director, Ambulatory Pharmacy Services, Clinical Services Manager, and Clinical Pharmacist from 1983 to 1993.

In 1993, Hartmann joined St. John's Mercy Medical Center as the Director of Pharmacy. Ron was responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the development, operation, and monitoring of all activities within the Pharmacy Department. Ron also fostered strong relationships between Pharmacy Departments, Physician Leadership, and Administrators within Unity Health and across Sisters of Mercy Health System - Unity Health. Ron held this position until 1999.

From 1999 to 2000, Hartmann served as the Corporate Director of Pharmacy at Sisters of Mercy Health System - Unity Health, where they coordinated and oversaw all system-wide pharmacy efforts.

In 2000, Hartmann joined MedAssets as the Senior VP Pharmacy. In this role, they had overall responsibility for MedAssets' Pharmacy Contract Portfolio and Supplier Relationships. Ron managed a multi-level team and was responsible for all Pharmaceutical Manufacturer, Wholesaler/Distributor, Pharmaceutical Service, and Clinical Pharmacy Support Agreements. Ron also provided pharmacy cost comparison analyses and support for MedAssets' sales efforts. Ron held this position until 2016.

In 2016, Hartmann started their own consulting firm, Hartmann Pharmacy Consulting, where they worked as a Pharmacy Consultant until 2017.

In 2017, Hartmann joined Sagent Pharmaceuticals as the Vice President, Pharmacy Solutions.

Ron Hartmann received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, where they studied from 1974 to 1978. Ron then went on to pursue a Pharm.D. degree in Pharmacy at the University of Southern California from 1978 to 1982.
