Karen Yu

Karen Yu has extensive experience in the fields of engineering and operations management, currently serving as Operations Manager (Medical) at Sagentia Innovation since October 2016, with prior roles as Consultant and Analyst. Between September 2012 and October 2016, Karen worked at the University of Cambridge as a Research Assistant, focusing on commercial systems for in-situ monitoring of ultra precision laser-based processing, and as a Teaching Assistant. Prior to this, Karen gained experience at Ryerson University as a Research Engineer, conducting R&D on automatic pathing and cutting of cortical bone, and at Queen's University as both a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant, specializing in in-situ laser key-hole weld monitoring and lab demonstrations. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Applied Science in Engineering Physics from Queen's University, supplemented by a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Queen's University.
