Sam Zimmerman

Sam Zimmerman has extensive work experience in the technology industry. In 2021, they became the CEO and Cofounder of Sagewell Financial. In 2020, they were the Director of the Exposure Notification Program and CTO at PathCheck Foundation, where they led a team of 400 elite professional volunteers to create mobile solutions deployed by 9 states and countries to more than 5 million users. In 2019, they were an Advisor for both Energetic Insurance and risQ, Inc. and a Machine Learning Research Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center. From 2015 to 2019, they were the CTO and Cofounder of Freebird, Inc. which was acquired by Capital One. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Researcher at MIT Tenenbaum Lab. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Technical Lead and Data Scientist at PowerAdvocate. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Quantitative Risk Analyst at Boston Technologies Inc. and from 2011 to 2012, they were a Systems Analyst and Statistician at Evoapp.

Sam Zimmerman attended Duke University from 2008 to 2012. Sam then attended UNSW and the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown. No degree or field of study was indicated for any of the schools.
