Wen-Wei Tsai

Wen-Wei Tsai has worked for a number of companies in various roles. Wen-Wei began their career in 2000 as a Pharmaceutical and Oncology Specialist for Sanofi. In 2010, they became a Postdoctoral Research Associate for the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. In 2016, they worked as an Assistant Director and Senior Scientist for Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. In 2019, they moved to Gilead Sciences as a Senior Research Scientist I. Currently, they are working as the Director for Sagimet Biosciences.

Wen-Wei Tsai began their educational journey in 1994, when they earned a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from National Taiwan University. Wen-Wei continued their studies at the same university, earning a Master's degree in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 2000. In 2004, they began their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, which they completed in 2009.
