Richard Hamer

Richard Hamer is an experienced play designer and educator with a diverse background in game design and development. Currently serving as a Senior Play Designer at Sago Mini since February 2020, Richard specializes in creating open-ended digital experiences and collaborates with artists and coders throughout the development process. Prior to this role, Richard held various lecturer positions at the University of East London and the University of the Arts London, where responsibilities included curriculum design and teaching modules in game design and narrative design. Earlier career experience includes working as a Games Designer at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and as a QA Tester at Electronic Arts. Richard holds a BSc in Computer Games from the University of East London and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
