Ibrahim Bilem

R&D Project Lead at Saguaro Technologies

Ibrahim Bilem has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific field. From 2013-2017, they were a Graduate Research Fellow in Biomaterials and Cell Therapy at the Centre de recherche du CHU de Qu\u00e9bec-Universit\u00e9 Laval. During this time, they managed an international collaborative research project, leading to three published articles in peer-reviewed journals. Ibrahim also designed and developed a micro-engineered in vitro cell culture model and characterized the biological performance of the device. In addition, they served as a Teaching Assistant at Universit\u00e9 Laval from 2013-2017. From 2020-2022, they worked as an R&D Scientist at Meridian Bioscience Inc., where they worked on molecular biology-based diagnostic for infectious disease. Currently, they are a R&D Project Lead at Saguaro Technologies.

Ibrahim Bilem's education history consists of four degrees. Ibrahim obtained a Bachelor's degree in health and biology from Abou Bekr Belkaid University of Tlemcen between 2004 and 2007. Ibrahim then obtained a Master's degree in biochemistry from the same university between 2007 and 2009. Ibrahim then earned a double master's degree in Chemistry, Health Engineering and Biomaterials from Sorbonne Paris cité- Université Paris 13 between 2010 and 2012. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biomaterials science & Tissue Engineering from Université Laval between 2013 and 2016.
