Cathal K.

Cathal K. is a skilled bioinformatician currently working at SAHMRI since November 2022, with prior experience in the same role at the Bernal Institute, University of Limerick, where Cathal engaged in single-cell RNA sequencing analyses for a collaboration with BD (Becton & Dickinson) from September 2019 to July 2022. Previously, Cathal served as a lab technician at Eton Bioscience, Inc. in San Diego, CA, focusing on Sanger sequencing using the ABI 3730xl Sequencer Machine from September 2016 to September 2017. Cathal also has teaching experience as a Physics and Mathematics teacher with Laois and Offaly ETB and worked as a swimming coach for Ballinasloe Swimming Club. Additional roles include lifeguard and swimming instructor at Coral Leisure from July 2009 to August 2015. Cathal holds a degree from the University of Galway and completed further studies at the University of Limerick from 2010 to 2014.
