Leopold Hagenberg has a diverse range of work experience. Leopold started their career in 2005 as a Werkplekondersteuner at TweeSteden ziekenhuis. In 2006, they became the Managing Director (Owner & Founder) at SLT Solutions, where they worked until 2008.
After that, Leopold joined KPMG in 2006 as an Intern and later became a Junior External IT Auditor. In this role, they conducted IT audits for both large and small companies, focusing on authorization audit & implementation and business controls. Leopold was also familiar with IT control frameworks such as CobIT, ITIL, ISO27001, and internal controls within Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx). At KPMG, they also performed data analytics on SAP data related to processes such as Purchase-to-Pay (PtP), Order-to-Cash (OtC), and Cash flow (Days Payables Outstanding (DPO), Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)).
In 2011, Leopold joined SAI360 as a GRC Product Consultant, where they gained knowledge and experience in implementing GRC methodologies based on customer requirements. Leopold also provided advice on GRC solutions and led the implementation team. Throughout their time at SAI360, they held various roles, including GRC Business Consultant, GRC Solution Consultant, Senior Lead Business Analyst, and Product Portfolio Manager. In these positions, they supported sales with business expertise, assisted in sales strategy, and acted as a Product Owner for BWise solutions.

Leopold Hagenberg completed their MSc in Information Management from Tilburg University, where they studied from 2001 to 2007. Following this, they attended TIAS School for Business and Society from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained an EMITA (Executive Master of IT-Auditing) degree with a focus on IT-Auditing.
