Jamie Perkins has a diverse work experience in marketing and communications. Starting in 2000, they worked as an Advertising Specialist at Cypress Semiconductor, managing print ads and a global corporate brand campaign. From 2002 to 2004, they were a Media Planner at Mullen, responsible for developing media plans and managing client relationships. At Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles from 2004 to 2006, Jamie worked as a Communications Planner, executing national media strategies for Toyota and evaluating event sponsorship opportunities. They then took on the role of Manager of Marketing & Communications at Glendale Adventist Medical Center from 2006 to 2007, leading website redesign and marketing campaigns.
In 2007, Jamie joined Sunset Magazine- Time Inc. and held various roles including Marketing Programs Manager, Sr. Marketing Programs Manager, and Associate Marketing Director. They developed multi-year brand platforms, led the RFP development process, and utilized market research to grow advertising revenue. From 2016 to 2018, Jamie worked at West Marine as a Sr. Manager Integrated Marketing and Integrated Media and Regional Marketing Manager, overseeing marketing campaigns, media planning, and sponsorships.
In 2018, Jamie became a Sr. Marketing Manager at Vector Launch Inc., focusing on executive speaking engagements, strategic planning, and media negotiations. They then joined Western Digital in 2019 as a Sr. Manager, Corporate Brand Marketing, managing brand standards, product naming, and thought leadership programs. In 2020, Jamie worked as a Marketing Consultant for Alamitos Vineyards, leading brand efforts during COVID-19.
Currently, Jamie is the Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications at Saint Francis High School, leading a brand redesign and implementing communication strategies to increase engagement.
Jamie Perkins holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication & Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University School of Leadership Studies, which was obtained from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, Jamie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with an emphasis in Marketing from Santa Clara University from 1997 to 2000. Their secondary education was completed at Saint Francis High School in an unspecified year. Additionally, Jamie obtained a certification in Building Resilience from LinkedIn in the year 2020.
