Joel Gotkin

Joel Gotkin is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in patent prosecution and related fields. As a Member (Partner) at Oliff PLC since December 2011, Joel is responsible for new application drafting, domestic and foreign prosecution, appeals, and providing pre-litigation counseling. Additionally, Joel serves as an Adjunct Professor of Patent Law at Saint Louis University School of Law. Prior experience includes roles as an LSAT Instructor at Kaplan, a Contract Intern at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, a Law Clerk at Seidman & Associates, and an intern at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Joel holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Competition Law from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Center, a JD from The George Washington University Law School, and dual degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Economics from Duke University.
