Kelly Kapsar

Research Associate at SAINT LOUIS ZOO

Kelly Kapsar's work experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Michigan State University since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the Saint Louis Zoo where they held multiple roles including Research Associate, Outreach Instructor, and Conservation Education Research Intern from September 2014 to June 2016. Kelly also worked as a Doctoral Candidate at Michigan State University's Department of Fisheries and Wildlife from August 2016 to June 2022. Additionally, Kelly served as a Social Media Associate at the Engagement Scholarship Consortium from May 2018 to December 2019. Before this, they were an Intern at the Cheetah Conservation Fund in July 2013, an Intern at The Echinacea Project from June 2012 to September 2012, and an Extern at the Saint Louis Zoo in June 2011.

Kelly Kapsar completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology, General at Carleton College from 2010 to 2014. In 2013, Kelly also obtained a certification in SCUBA Open Water from PADI. Later, from 2016 to 2022, Kelly pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Fisheries & Wildlife at Michigan State University.
