Dr. Rola Othman

Director, Information Technology Client Services at Saint Xavier University

Dr. Rola Othman has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Dr. Rola first worked as a Case Manager and Intake Coordinator for Metropolitan Family Services from 1994 to 1998, where they demonstrated strong leadership and project management skills. Dr. Rola then transitioned to a role as a Training Specialist at Productivity Point International from 1998 to 1999, where they conducted training sessions for corporate and government clients. Following this, they worked as the Director/Chair of the Computer Science Department at Universal School from 1999 to 2005, where they designed and implemented the computer curriculum for 700 students. Dr. Othman also served as President and CEO of Alshair, Inc. from 2002 onwards. In 2004, they joined Saint Xavier University as an Adjunct Faculty member, and later became the Director of Information Technology Client Services. Lastly, they pursued higher education and enrolled as a student at Benedictine University from 2010 to 2016.

Dr. Rola Othman holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University, which they completed from 2010 to 2016. Dr. Rola also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management Information Systems, General from Saint Xavier University from 2001 to 2003. Additionally, Dr. Othman holds a Master's degree in Applied Computer Science from the same institution, completed during the same time period. Dr. Rola'sundergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, and Counseling from Saint Xavier University, completed from 1992 to 1994. In 2019, they obtained a Proposal Reviewer certification from EDUCAUSE.
