Igor Gorbunov

Igor Gorbunov is a highly experienced engineer specializing in floating systems and structural engineering, currently working as a Floating System Engineer at Saipem since November 2023. Prior to this role, Igor held the position of Senior Structural Engineer at Harris Pye (November 2018 - November 2023), focusing on FPSO and drilling rigs renovations and upgrades, as well as retrofit projects involving EGCS scrubbers and BWTS. Additional experience includes working as a Structural Engineer at C-Job Naval Architects, where drillship conversions were managed, and a Project Engineer role at Top Water Flow AS, overseeing the installation of BWTS systems. Igor’s project management experience includes leading the renovation of a floating dock and the repair of fishing vessels at Tromso Mekaniske AS. Earlier career highlights include contributions as a Structural & Topsides Construction Engineer at Norshore and a Production Engineer at Maritime Industrial Services, along with various engineering roles in design and hull production. Igor holds a Master of Science degree in Ships and Ocean Facilities from the National University of Shipbuilding in Ukraine.
