Rafael Rivera Alves is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in subsea installation and construction management. Currently serving as the Deputy Project Operations Manager at Saipem since May 2022, Rafael has held various roles such as Project Operations Manager Interim and Subsea Lead Installation & Construction. Prior experience includes significant positions at SBM Offshore as Lead Installation Engineer and at TechnipFMC, where responsibilities encompassed defining methodologies, managing installation analyses, and overseeing offshore operations. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Militar de Engenharia, a Post Graduation in Petroleum Engineering from COPPE UFRJ, and an upcoming MBA in Project Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas.
