Pekka Ristelä

Pekka Ristelä has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Pekka is currently the Head of International Affairs at SAK since 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Director at FinUnions from 2014 to 2016. Pekka also had multiple roles at the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK), including Adviser for International Affairs from 2006 to 2009 and 2011 to 2013, and Adviser for Industrial Policy from 2009 to 2011. Before joining SAK, they worked as a Political Secretary at Vasemmistoliitto - Vänsterförbundet - The Left Alliance from 2002 to 2006. Pekka's early career includes a position as a Research Assistant at the University of Turku from 1999 to 2002.

Pekka Ristelä received their Master of Social Sciences degree in Practical Philosophy from the University of Turku, where they studied from 1994 to 2001.
