Slaton Lunsford

Slaton Lunsford currently serves as the East Coast Product Development Manager and previously held the role of Southeast Assistant Product Development Manager at Sakata Seed America, Inc., since June 2023. Prior experience includes positions at Walther Farms, where Lunsford was the Watermelon Manager from January 2020 to July 2023, overseeing all aspects of watermelon operations, and served as Field Manager, managing irrigation, pivot maintenance, and pest scouting. Lunsford also completed a summer internship at Walther Farms as a Field Manager in 2019, overseeing significant acreage of potatoes and soybeans, and began as a Summer Intern in 2018, focusing on harvest line operations and quality control. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, obtained in December 2019.
